Elizabeth Walmsley – Co-owner, Managing Director

Elizabeth has worked in the international education industry for over 20 years and brings a wealth of experience and care to our clients.

Elizabeth has travelled extensively throughout Asia, including living in China and Taiwan for 5 years. Some of the other countries she has visited many times include Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia, as well as visiting Brazil, UK and France. She has stayed in homestay situations herself in some of these countries so feels that she can ‘place herself’ into the shoes of most visitors to Australia for the first time.

May (Mei-tzu) Yung – Co-owner, Director

B.Commerce (UWS), MBA (UTS)

May came to Sydney when she was a young teenager as an international student and completed her HSC, bachelor and MBA studies in Australia. During her studies, she stayed with a homestay for six years, they are now her second family. She is able to draw from her own past experience to assist students in various areas. May’s main role at Oz Homestay is business compliance and accounts management.

As a self-confessed foodie, May loves cooking and trying new foods.

Sarah Walmsley – Operations and Administration Manager

B.Arts (UWS), M. Arts/International Communication (MQ)

Sarah has extensive experience in Student Services and Study Abroad programs. Her primary roles with Oz Homestay are managing all Study Tours; Parent Nominated Guardianship checks and compliance; as well as organising all home inspections and airport transfers.

Sarah loves travelling and meeting people from different cultural backgrounds. She has lived and worked in Ireland, England, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China and has travelled extensively throughout Asia, Europe, North America and Northern Africa.

Sonya Walmsley – Sydney Northern District Coordinator

Sonya has extensive experience in commercial real estate and event coordination. She joined Oz Homestay in 2007 and she is responsible for the Northern Beaches / North Shore house inspections. Sonya and her family hosted students in the past and enjoyed the experience.

In her free time she likes to spend time with her family, going to the beach and playing tennis.

Jasmine Le – Administration Assistant

Jasmine joined Oz Homestay as a part time administration assistant in 2010 to assist prospective families register with Oz Homestay. She is studying Bachelor of Business and Commerce at UWS majoring in Hospitality and Event Management. A people person with great communication skills, Jasmine enjoys learning about new cultures, languages and cuisines.

Jasmine's first language is English however she is also fluent in Vietnamese.

Lindsay Wang – Administration Assistant

Lindsay joined Oz Homestay late 2011 to assist with host family screening checks and office administration. Apart from her years of experience in being an international student in Australia, Lindsay has also taught young children for a number of years. She is very comfortable in talking to young students and assisting them with relevant homestay issues. She has brought a wealth of experience to Oz Homestay and is an integral part of our team. In her spare time, Lindsay loves travelling, gourmet foods and photography.

Lindsay is able to assist clients in the following languages: English, Taiwanese and Mandarin.

Rodney Bryce – Sydney Southern District Coordinator

Rodney joined Oz Homestay in 2011 and he is responsible for the Sydney Southern District house inspections.
