Host families provide a comfortable living environment in a single room (or shared room if available and requested) with wardrobe, desk and study lamp as a minimum standard.

Meals will be provided for breakfast and dinner 7 days per week and light lunches on Saturday and Sunday.

Student's will be required to assist in light duties, particularly keeping bedroom tidy and assisting at meal times e.g. setting or clearing the table or drying up.

The host family may do the laundry for the whole family - or expect the student to do their own, this is to be negotiated with the family.  All students will need to do their own ironing.

Telephone and Internet: Students must pay for their own telephone and internet costs.  Students are advised to get mobile phones and to use calling cards when calling overseas.  Most families charge a flat rate for internet access (up to $10 per week).  Internet usage is expensive in Australia and families may have limits on access.
