Whilst we are lucky to have students of all ages coming from a number of different countries throughout the world, the vast majority of our students are aged between 14-17 from China. These students are coming with the intention of learning English, completing high school and then attending University in Australia.
According to EIC 2013 Study Destinations Research, Australia is the third-preferred study destination for Chinese students. Postgraduate degrees remain the mainstream whilst the “go-younger and earlier trend” continues to rise and more Chinese students are opting for undergraduate and high school studies overseas.
Personal preference is now a key deciding factor. Overall, consideration of discipline is closely linked to future employability and career planning. (Source: Australian Education International)
