Host Family Fees and Conditions

The fee that you receive for hosting a student is dependent on a number of factors – including the age of the student and the program of study that they are participating in. All fees and method of payment will be confirmed with you in the booking letter you receive on acceptance of the placement.

INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS OVER 18 - SYDNEY:
Weekly Homestay Fee (Full Board) $A265 (single)
Weekly Homestay Fee (Full Board) $A245 (twin)

*These students book for an initial 4 week period, with the possibility of an extension. The fee for the first 4 weeks is paid to you within 5 working days of the student’s arrival. If the student extends, they must pay you directly every 4 weeks. Out of this fee we deduct a service fee of $20 per week.

INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS UNDER 18 - SYDNEY:
Weekly Homestay Fee (Full Board) $A265 (single)
Weekly Homestay Fee (Full Board) $A245 (twin)
Weekly Guardianship Fee $A35

*These students are ongoing and must remain in homestay accommodation until they turn 18. The fee for the first 4 weeks is paid to you within 5 working days of the student’s arrival. Unless advised by us, they then must pay you directly every 4 weeks (in advance). We charge an ongoing service fee of $20 per week, which will be invoiced to you.

INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS - NSW REGIONAL AREA:
Weekly Homestay Fee (over 18) $A220 (single)
Weekly Homestay Fee (under 18) $A240 (single)

*The fee for the first 4 weeks is paid to you within 5 working days of the student’s arrival. Unless advised by us, they then must pay you directly every 4 weeks (in advance). We charge a service fee of $20 per week, which will be invoiced to you.

*The weekly fee for under 18 is inclusive of guardianship.

STUDY ABROAD STUDENTS - DEPARMENT OF EDUCATION:
Weekly Homestay and Guardianship Fee $A265

*These students are mostly from Europe and book for a set period, usually 6 or 12 months. The fee for the first 4 weeks is paid to you within 5 working days of the student’s arrival. We will then automatically make payment to you every 4 weeks for the duration of their stay. Out of this fee we deduct a service fee of $20 per week for the whole duration of the booking.

STUDY TOUR STUDENTS:

*Fee paid depends on the special conditions of the tour. Fee will always be confirmed with you prior to your acceptance of the placement.

Please Note:

  • Full board means all meals except week day lunches.
  • Twin share is very rare unless two friends or relatives are travelling together.
  • In addition to the above fees, you can also charge up to an additional $10 per week for internet access.
  • Ensure that your Household contents insurance policy is inclusive of incidents caused by boarders.
  • Ensure that host's Home Buildings Insurance Policy includes Public Liability.
  • All damages are the responsibility of the student.
